I was a truck driver until had an accident in December '09. Been off work since. Had major surgery in May. I will eventually be classified disabled. With head/neck fusion, I cannot turn my head left or right. Worker's comp cut off right after surgery. Fighting to get that reinstated.
The reason I'm looking for help right now is my daughter is trying to go to college. Of course, they go by my tax return I filed, which at the time I was making pretty good income. They say it's too much to get a Pell Grant for daughter. So they give me LOAN options. I'm still trying to pay off student loans I had from 1997. They do not go by: I HAVE NO INCOME AT THIS TIME! I do not have a savings account. I am broke!
Looking for ANY aid that will get my daughter into college.
